Your First Visit, Step by Step

We know that walking into a new dental office can feel uncertain — especially if it's been a while since your last visit. Our new patient experience is designed to be welcoming, unhurried, and completely judgment-free.

When you arrive, our front desk team will greet you and review your paperwork. If you have dental anxiety, please let us know — we have protocols specifically designed to make your visit more comfortable and will assign a team member to check in with you throughout your appointment.

Your first appointment typically includes a comprehensive oral exam by one of our dentists, a full set of digital X-rays, an intraoral camera tour showing you exactly what we see, and a professional cleaning if your schedule allows. We'll wrap up by walking you through any findings and creating a prioritized treatment plan together.

Most importantly, we will never pressure you into treatment you aren't ready for. Every recommendation comes with a clear explanation of why it matters, what happens if it's deferred, and what the alternatives are. You are always in charge.

New patient appointments typically last 60–90 minutes. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork and get settled.

Insurance Made Simple

Navigating dental insurance shouldn't feel like a second job. Our billing specialists are trained to maximize your available benefits and help you understand exactly what's covered before any treatment begins — with no surprises on your statement afterward.

We work with most major PPO dental insurance plans and are in-network with many of the largest carriers in Washington state. If your plan isn't listed, call us — we likely still accept it and can verify your coverage within 24 hours.

We submit claims on your behalf as a courtesy and follow up on any outstanding reimbursements. Your only responsibility at the time of service is your estimated patient portion, which we'll review with you in advance.

For patients without insurance, our in-house Gentle Care Membership Plan provides access to preventive services at a flat annual rate with discounts on all other treatment. No waiting periods, no deductibles, and no annual maximums — just straightforward care at a predictable price.

Same-Day Emergency Appointments

Dental Pain Shouldn't Wait

Dental emergencies — severe tooth pain, a knocked-out or broken tooth, a lost crown or filling, swelling, or a dental abscess — require prompt attention. Delays can allow infections to spread and significantly increase the complexity and cost of treatment.

If you call our office before noon on a business day, we will make every effort to see you the same day. After-hours, our voicemail provides guidance on reaching us for true emergencies. Do not ignore dental pain — contact us immediately.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Handle by the crown only — never the root. Place it back in the socket or store in milk. Call us immediately. Time is critical for re-implantation.

Severe Toothache

Rinse with warm salt water. Take OTC pain relief as directed on packaging. Do not place aspirin directly on the gum. Call us promptly — pain this severe often signals infection.

Swelling or Abscess

Facial swelling can indicate a spreading dental infection and may become a medical emergency. If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, go to the ER immediately. Otherwise, call us right away.
